It’s been officially one full year since the start of Rainfall Films. Although everyone involved had been working together for many years, it was the first time the stars aligned and we could do what we’ve always wanted: form a production company.

In 2007, IGN Entertainment hired us to produce an April Fools trailer for The Legend of Zelda. It was completed in October, and we had to sit on it for six months until April 1st, 2008. We chose that date to launch this website, which turned out to be good timing; the Zelda trailer was viewed over 2.5 million times in 24 hours, and ended up becoming IGN’s #1 most watched video of the year. From there, Rainfall began work on a variety of projects – music videos, commercials, trailers, promos and music & sound design work. Year One clients included Sony BMG, Philips, Interscope Records, Clearwire, Ferrari, G4 Television, Warner Music Group, Onesize, and many others.

This year is proving to be even stronger. We are bringing on more talented people and processing power to help with the increasing work load, and will soon be moving into bigger and better offices. Multiple features are in the works – pre-production begins later this year.

After a year’s passing, our motto remains the same: high concept, low cost. We’d like to thank our amazing clients for their business and trust, and those who have supported us so passionately. Keep your eye on this site for many exciting updates during Rainfall Year Two.
